CREATING CEREMONIES

My aim is to provide every couple with a ceremony that is

true to you!

Approaching the whole process with a personal and genuine approach, I like to create a ceremony that has the whole mix of emotions; fun, laughter, nostalgia, excitement, and of course a bit of love!

Before we set anything in stone, let me know about what your planning for your big day. Ideally we can meet in person but if that isn't an option Zoom, Skype, or Facetime are a great way to meet face to face and ensure that I'm the celebrant you’re looking for.

If after an initial meeting, and if you are happy to move forward, we will lock in your date and get talking about your ceremony!

WHERE TO BEGIN

MAKE IT YOURS

Creating a unique and amazing ceremony is the goal, and in order to achieve that I will call on you to provide the quirkier details of who you are as individuals, as a couple, and how you interact with your friends and family.

Whether it be your mutual love for wombats, or questionable selection of pet names for one another - every couple has something unique and special that makes life a joy when they're together!

There aren't any rules, so don't be shy. Let me know what appeals and what doesn't, what you love and what you think just doesn’t suit you. In the end you will have a ceremony that is just right.

How will I get to know you?

If you’re here in Queenstown - let’s get coffee! If not, not to worry; I’m happy to Zoom whenever you’d like, and either way I’ll be emailing you all the right questions so that you can tell me all the good stuff.

WRITING VOWS

Don't overthink it! Just consider that it's one of the biggest days of your life - what would you like to say? Your personal vows are a great way of injecting more of you into the ceremony, so have fun with it!

With my helpful resources and plenty of examples, you won't be short on inspiration to get you going.

Not wanting to write your own vows? I recommend that everyone at least gives it a go, but if it’s not for you that’s absolutely fine!

THE REHEARSAL

A rehearsal is particularly helpful for ceremonies involving a large wedding party. It’s a great way to ensure everyone is confident with what they need to do, what to expect, and where they need to stand on the day.

If it’s just going to be you and your other half standing at the top of the aisle though, a rehearsal isn’t always required. Sometimes it’s as easy as sitting down with me a few days beforehand to iron out any final details!

MAKING IT LEGAL

Although my fee doesn't cover the license costs, I will provide reminders and help you get the paperwork you need on time and in the right order.

Getting married in Aotearoa New Zealand is really very straight forward and the paperwork can be arranged within just a few days (3 working days to be precise!) I’ll be sure to remind you to apply when the time comes, and I’m happy to talk with you about how the NZ Marriage Certificate holds up elsewhere if you are coming from overseas.

Still not entirely sure what to expect?

We had friends who have been married for 20 years say that Andy’s ceremony was so beautiful they were tempted to renew their vows!
